Hey folks, just wondering if anyone has a solution to messenger signing off frequently. I will be chatting, when suddenly messenger brings up the password edit field. I will sign, when within a minute or 2 it will sign off again and ask for the password. it does it often as long as its on. any ideas? I've checked options for a solution but found none. maybe I missed something? grins!

Give me a bit more info. What operating system are you using? Next what type of internet connection do you have? My first guess would be that your connection is going on and off, and that would cause you to get signed out. Tell me these things and I'll give you more ideas.
I'm using windows 7, and I don't think its the connection, because my other computers are just fine. 1 is always downloading and there is no internet interruptions. all computers are just fine with internet connection, just when I use msn on the windows 7 computer does this happen. also, the earlier version of messenger on the windows 7 computer worked just fine. the difficulty came when the upgrade of msn messenger was installed.
oh and regarding the windows 7 computer, it surfs the web just fine. only the msn is logging in and out.

Okay. Remove it completely. What I mean by that is go to remove programs, and take it out from the windows live. Infact remove all the windows live programs. You check all you want to remove. Okay after that go to computer and program files and remove the windows live folder. Now reinstall it from microsoft.com. When installing all the windows live programs simply uncheck any you don't want to install. Its no problem for messenger. See if that solves the problem.
